I don’t think your arguments about the string attributes vs. object props is fairly presented. If you follow through to the tweet you will see that it indeed is NOT a case of an experienced developer not understanding how WC work, but questioning why an extension of the web architecture like WC didn’t go as far as to allow other things as strings to be given to an attribute. The example was a global function given as a string to an element in a click handler. Which indeed is somewhat gross if you look at it with an open mind. Declaring this argument as an instance of a lack of knowledge about WC is not ok.
